How the result is calculated
An in-page knowledge base of rules (a regex pattern + keywords + a weight); the message patterns come from the troubleshooting pages of the OpenClaw docs (gateway, config, cron, heartbeat, channels, skills and providers). A rule’s score = its weight if the pattern matches + the number of keywords (without a pattern two are required). Confidence = score ÷ (score + 6), a heuristic indicator. The “Test a local gateway” button opens a WebSocket to ws://127.0.0.1:port from your browser only, to see whether the gateway accepts connections.
Limits:
It does not cover every OpenClaw error (only 21 rules; newer versions may change message wording). The cause is “likely”, not certain, and the CLI commands come from the docs of the version I saw (2026.x) and may differ on yours. It cannot see your full logs or config. The gateway test depends on the browser allowing a local WebSocket from an https page (your browser or extensions may block it and show “stopped” wrongly), and I did not test it against a real gateway.
