n8n Workflow Formatter & Sanitizer

Paste an n8n workflow to format or minify it, strip credentials and pinData before sharing, extract chosen nodes with their internal connections, and convert it to a Markdown table, all in your browser.

Workspace

How the result is calculated

The JSON is parsed and checked for nodes[] and connections{}. Sanitizing removes each node’s credentials key, pinData and meta.instanceId; parameters are left as they are. Extraction keeps the chosen nodes and only connections between two chosen nodes. Markdown is a table of nodes plus a list of connections.

Limits: Sanitizing does not detect secrets typed inside parameters (such as an API key in an HTTP header): review them manually before sharing. It does not validate node types. A credential’s id and name are removed with the whole object.

FAQ

Does it remove all secrets?

No; it removes credential objects and pinData only. Review text inside parameters yourself.

Why do connections disappear on extraction?

A connection is kept only when both of its nodes are selected.
