JSON-LD

How the result is calculated

A JavaScript object is built following schema.org definitions and serialized with JSON.stringify, so the JSON is always valid; the < character is escaped to \u003c so it cannot end the script tag early. Empty fields are dropped. Dates are checked for ISO 8601 and a note appears when the timezone is missing (Google recommendation); a note also appears if the author name looks like it contains a title or “by”, and recommended Article properties (headline, image, author) are listed. BreadcrumbList needs at least two items, and item may be omitted for the last one.

Limits: The tool does not verify that marked-up content is visible on the page (a Google requirement) nor that links and images work. Other types (Product, Recipe, Event…) are not supported. Google has ended FAQ rich results, so FAQPage markup guarantees no special appearance. Verify the result with the official Rich Results Test.

FAQ

Do I need FAQPage markup?

Google no longer shows FAQ rich results (per its documentation, since May 7, 2026), but the markup is valid schema.org. Do not add it for a rich result.

Where do I put JSON-LD?

Inside a script type="application/ld+json" tag in the head or body; Google accepts both.

What date format should I use?

ISO 8601 such as 2026-10-15T08:00:00+03:00, with the timezone recommended.
