How the result is calculated

A replacement dictionary (about 50 words and phrases, longest first) turns for example utilize → use, in order to → to and due to the fact that → because while keeping letter case. A sentence over the limit is split at , and, , but, ; or , so into two sentences. Flesch Reading Ease = 206.835 − 1.015 × (words ÷ sentences) − 84.6 × (syllables ÷ words), with syllables estimated by counting vowel groups.

Limits: English only with reasonable quality; the dictionary is short and does not cover every complex word (it is not the full Oxford 3000 list). It does not rebuild compound sentences or change complex meaning, and may split wrongly. Syllable counting is an estimate, so Flesch may differ slightly from other tools.
